John P.A. Budreski
Executive Chairman | MBA | B.Eng.John P. A. Budreski joins EnWave with over 30 years of extensive capital markets and executive management experience. Mr. Budreski has a professional history of advancing and accelerating businesses, as well as tangible engineering experience.
He was formerly a Vice Chairman of Cormark Securities Inc. from 2009 to 2012 and President and CEO of Orion Securities Inc. from 2005 to 2007, prior to its successful sale to Macquarie Bank. He has filled the roles of a Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets and Head of Investment Banking for Scotia Capital Inc. from March 1998 to February 2005. After starting out as a Managing Director of US Institutional Equity Group for Scotia Capital he also held senior roles in investment banking and equity sales and trading for RBC Dominion Securities.
John Budreski is currently a Director of Sandstorm Gold Ltd., and Nulegacy Gold Corporation. He is also the Executive Chairman of Morien Resources Corp.
Brent Charleton
President & CEO | CFABrent Charleton has extensive experience working in competitive team-based environments in the public, private and not-for-profit industries. He has managed the marketing, investor relations and corporate affairs mandates for EnWave Corporation since 2010.
Brent, an ex-professional athlete, is a graduate of the Marketing Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Communications from Simon Fraser University.
Brent Charleton has completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Mary C. Ritchie
Director | Chair of Audit Committee | FCAMary C. Ritchie is an extremely distinguished business person who has over 30 years of experience working in both the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Ms. Ritchie is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Richford Holdings Ltd., an accounting and investment advisory services company; a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta; the Chairman of the Financial Advisory Committees of RBC Funds Inc. and RBC Advisor Global Fund Inc; and a member of the Board of Directors of Industrial Alliance Ltd. and Alaris Royalty Corporation.
She also is on the three-member advisory committee for Natural Resources Canada; a member of the Board of Directors for the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDIC); and on the three-member advisory committee for the Privy Council of Canada.
Stephen Sanford
DirectorMr. Sanford is a seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of experience as an executive for a Fortune 500 company. He is the former Senior Vice President and Managing General Counsel at Fluor Corporation (“Fluor”), a global engineering and construction company.
Mr. Sanford has significant experience structuring major commercial transactions in a variety of legal systems around the world. In his role at Fluor, Mr. Sanford manages a team of legal professionals with a global footprint that addresses intellectual property matters, taxation, insurance and risk management matters. During his tenure at Fluor, Mr. Sanford has provided legal expertise and leadership during the structuring of billions of dollars in transactions.
Mr. Sanford obtained both his Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree from Dalhousie University and holds an MBA from the University of Calgary.
Patrick Turpin
DirectorPatrick Turpin has close to 30 years of experience leading consumer packaged goods organizations across multiple areas of the value chain. He is an accomplished senior executive who has successfully concepted and launched several retail channel businesses and brands.
In addition to co-founding Popchips, he was also a senior executive at Costco Wholesale where he led multiple strategic initiatives, including launching Costco’s gas station business and Costco’s Executive Membership division. Patrick also managed Costco’s vertically integrated, private-label snack and confection packaging business.
Pablo Cussatti
DirectorPablo Cussatti has 28 years of Food Operations and Manufacturing experience, from engineering and building food plants, to running large Supply Chain Operations.
Pablo currently is the SVP of Manufacturing for Ventura Foods, responsible for 15 manufacturing facilities producing Dressings, Sauces, Mayonnaise, Margarines and Oils.
Prior to Ventura Foods, Pablo ran large Operations for Blue Apron, Pinnacle Foods, Pepsi Bottling Group, and Dean Foods.
He is an experienced operator with a proven track record of building teams that drive Safety, Quality, Service and Costs in Food Operations.

Dylan Murray
Chief Financial Officer | CPA CADylan Murray is a Chartered Professional Accountant and began his career with Ernst & Young. He has over ten years of progressive financial leadership with diversified experience in the real estate and cannabis industries, working in both public and private companies.
Dylan has extensive financial experience in the areas of financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financial operations, capital markets, risk management, and transaction advisory services.

Dr. John Zhang
Chief Scientific Officer | Ph.D Food Nutrition & HealthDr. Zhang is a seasoned R&D professional and well respected academic with 20 co-authored research papers and patents.
His educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Seafood Processing from Ocean University of China, a Master’s Degree in Food Microbiology from the University of Manitoba and a PhD in Food Nutrition and Health (FNH) from the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Zhang co-developed the microencapsulation method for enzymes using REV™ technology during his PhD studies.
Mark T. Alev
Chief Operating Officer | MBA | P.ENG.Mark Alev is a Professional Engineer registered with EGBC. He has received B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree from ODTU, Ankara, Turkey and Master of Business Administration from UBC, Vancouver, BC.
Prior to joining EnWave in 2019, Mark had 20+ years of various Engineering leadership and Management roles in the Attractions Industry, where he led several teams to develop, manufacture and install new Amusement Rides and Attractions around the world. His earlier experience includes R&D and other technical roles in various Automation, Manufacturing and Technology development companies.
Mark is the inventor or co-inventor on 5 patents, published globally. Also, an active member of ASTM and EGBC committees, involved in Standards’ development and Membership Registrations.
Mehmet Sucu
Chief Engineer, P.Eng., MASc.Mehmet Sucu is a registered Professional Engineer with EGBC. He has been with EnWave since 2011. During the time, he was holding various positions, currently leading the Electrical Engineering group as VP Electrical Engineering.
Before joining EnWave, Mehmet was in academia involving in various research and teaching activities. He has been published about 10 papers as a co-author on various journals and conferences.
Mehmet has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Education from Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. And also MASc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Our history
EnWave’s technology dates back to 1996 with the development of the first prototype REV™ machine at the University of British Columbia for dehydrating food and nutraceuticals. Since that time, the company has developed, produced and sold at commercial-scale.
